27 Carter Providers Awarded 5-Star CMS Rating
February 4, 2020 -
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) just released their Home Health Compare ratings for the fourth quarter of 2019, and Carter Healthcare is proud to have 27 providers—encompassing 52 locations—among the agencies awarded a 5-star rating for quality of patient care. Only 638 (slightly less than six percent) of the more than 11,000 home health providers in the nation earned this distinction.
The CMS 5-star quality rating system rates the nation’s home health agencies on a 1- to 5-star scale, based on nine of the 27 process and outcome measures during a 12-month period. The ratings are released each quarter. According to the most recent data posted on the Home Health Compare website, the national average star rating for agencies is 3.5 stars.
This star rating provides a single indicator of an agency’s performance compared to other agencies and provides Carter Healthcare with yet another way to distinguish itself from other providers in the nation.
Congratulations to our 5-star providers!
